Simon Fuller who looks after Brand Beckham Limited, will continue to manage the Beckhams under his new company XIX. Contrary to earlier reports, Fuller is still very much on board with the Beckham brand and has not parted company with the couple.
Official records released yesterday showed that Fuller, the man behind the Pop Idol franchise, had severed links with the Beckhams under his former company 19 Entertainment, which he sold two years ago to American firm CKX.
But a spokesman for Fuller clarified: ‘It’s purely an administrative step, Simon Fuller continues to work closely with David and Victoria and will do in the future.’
David and Victoria hired the former Spice Girls manager in 2003 to make their name a global brand after the former singer’s efforts to launch a solo music career stalled.
The couple have since released a range of “dVb” branded goods including perfumes and jeans and both have consolidated their fame in the States. Brand Beckham handles David’s earnings from Los Angeles Galaxy and his joint endorsements with his wife.
