Capello Change His Mind Over Beckham's England Future

Fabio Capello has done an embarrassing U-turn over David Beckham’s England career just two weeks after controversially announcing it was over.

Coach Capello called time on the former national captain during a TV interview and later claimed he would honour Beckham by picking him for a final tribute game at Wembley to say goodbye to the supporters who have idolised him over the years. But the England coach has changed his mind and is willing to consider 35-year-old Beckham if he fully recovers from his Achilles injury.

Capello said: “The door is always open for all players. First of all David Beckham has to be back playing. We are monitoring all the players. At the moment I am thinking about the young players because they need more games and experience. We know the value of the older players. But although I think the future is about youth in the squad, no one player is out.”

Capello sparked a storm of criticism over his comments about Beckham, primarily because he hadn’t had the courtesy to call personally a man who had won 115 England caps.

However, Capello insists his relationship with Beckham has not been damaged.

He said: “I spoke with a journalist in the TV interview. Immediately after the interview Franco Baldini [Team England’s general manager] spoke with David. I also spoke with David on the telephone and I explained what really happened and the relationship between him and me remains really good. I spoke with David because he was a part of the staff in the World Cup. Usually I don’t speak on the phone with the players. But in this case I did.”

But that call from Capello came days after the storm was sparked by his TV interview.And Capello won’t need reminding that Beckham has forced him into a U-turn ­before at Real Madrid.

When Beckham announced he would be joining LA Galaxy, Capello vowed not to select him again. The coach was forced to relent and Beckham played a key role in the team that won La Liga.

Stephen Belafonte : 'Dude, Its Over'

Spice Girl Mel B’s three-year marriage is finished, her husband Stephen Belafonte has revealed.

The film producer told me in an emotional telephone outburst from the States: “Dude, it’s over. Mel’s coming back to the UK soon – but I won’t be coming with her.” And I can reveal he has talked to lawyers in Los Angeles about a divorce from Scary Spice Mel.

The couple wed in 2007 just six months after Mel’s bitter split from actor Eddie Murphy – dad of her daughter Angel, three.

Only days ago the couple, both 35, were photographed kissing over lunch, and Mel has posted Twitter updates referring to her “hubby”.

But pals have said for months that the pair’s rollercoaster relationship was finally hitting the rocks. And now Belafonte admits ­divorce is on the way. He told me: “There’s been problems lately. I don’t know what’s happening.”

A friend of Mel said: “They’ve not been happy for a long time and there’s been rowing. Mel’s been talking about getting out. They’re still talking to see if things can be worked out. But she’s making plans to come back to the UK on a more ­permanent basis. Stephen hasn’t been ­mentioned as joining her and has been consulting lawyers.”

When the couple wed in Las Vegas Mel’s mother Andrea called it a “big mistake”. Just weeks later it emerged Stephen had attacked his ex Nicole Contreras – mum of his daughter Giselle, six – in 2003.

Mel and Belafonte will have to decide what to do about access to each other’s children – Mel also has daughter Phoenix, 11, from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Ironically, US TV viewers will next week see the family together when Mel’s reality show The Mel B Project debuts on the Style ­Network.

Mel has spoken about the ­couple’s raunchy sex life, claiming they romped “five times a day”.

But the source said: “Part of the problem is jealousy. They are both livid when the other one gets ­attention for another person. They constantly want to know where the other one is… it’s been an ongoing problem right from the start.”

All American Beckham Boys

They have made Los Angeles their home, and the Beckhams seem keen for their boys to embrace the American lifestyle. And despite being one of the world's most famous football players, David has been busy ensuring his three sons appreciate some of their adopted country's most loved sports.

He sits front-row with the boys to watch his beloved LA Lakers basketball team play, and has been spotted coaching them in American football.

And this week, Beckham drove for over an hour from his home in Beverly Hills with Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz to catch a baseball game at the Anaheim stadium. They were joined by close friend Gordon Ramsay and his ten-year-old son Jack, as well as a bodyguard, to watch the Los Angeles Angels play the Baltimore Orioles.

The VIPs met the team players after the match, and emerged from the stadium with autographed baseballs and giant foam hands.

The enthusiastic fans were decked out head to toe in Angels gear, and even stylish David, 35, who wore a trendy 'Faith of Silence' tee from fashion designer Seven New York, donned a bright red team cap.

Scene-stealer Romeo, seven, led the group out of the Anaheim stadium and despite their team losing 1-0, seemed in great spirits, waving his baseball triumphantly.

His older brother Brooklyn, 11, didn't want to be left out and raced to get to the front of the group, while five-year-old Cruz trailed behind, as chef Gordon waited for him to catch up.

The Ramsays, close friends of the Beckhams, are visiting LA and the families were spotted last week enjoying the sunshine at a £3.2 million Malibu beachfront mansion.

With Romeo's eighth birthday coming up on Wednesday, they could easily have made a stop for some fun at Disneyland, which is located just five kilometres down the road.

Victoria Beckham and Tana Ramsay chose not to join in on the excursion - Victoria has allowed David to drag her along to basketball games in the past, but perhaps her previous affiliation with rival baseball team the LA Dodgers kept her away.

The 36-year-old famously wore high-heeled trainers to throw the opening pitch for the Dodgers shortly after her move stateside move in 2007. It was filmed as part of her reality show Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.

David may be testing his loyalties after a disappointing few months with his first love football.

The injured midfielder looked visibly frustrated watching his team the LA Galaxy from a private sky box days before his ball park outing.

Relegated to the sideline because of his torn Achilles tendon, David hung his head as they were beaten 2-0 by the Kansas City Wizards. His lingering injury, which prevented him from playing in the World Cup, is likely to keep him out of action for most of the season.

Things are looking up back home though, as England boss Fabio Capello seems to have had a change of heart after announcing Beckham's England career was over.

David was said to be 'devastated' by the sudden news, but Capello told the News of the World: 'First Beckham has to be playing again but the door is always open. We're monitoring all the players. Once he recovers and is in really good condition, we will have a chat. I think the future is with the youth but after that, I will decide which players to choose. We know the value of the different older players. The future is with the young players because we have to think about the Euros, but no player is out.'

Kim Giving Mel B Tips on How to be a Reality Star

Mel B may once have been one-fifth of the biggest girl bands of all time. But the former Spice Girl, who is set to appear in a new U.S. reality show next week, has a bit of work to do yet to take queen bee Kim Kardashian's reality star crown.

So ahead of the season premiere of Mel B: It's a Scary World, the ex singer cleverly aligned herself with Kim, by posting a picture on Twitter of them out to dinner.

The 35-year-old, who was born in Leeds in the UK, left the accompanying message: 'Check out me and my home girl the other day out to lunch,check out the scarf, oh yessss.'

No doubt, Kim could have given the mother of two Mel some advice on how to keep viewers tuned in. The fifth season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which premiered over the weekend, pulled in a record-breaking 4.7m viewers.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sunday night's episode was the E! network's highest-rated and most watched season opener ever and the network’s second most watched telecast ever.

Whether Mel, the host of US diet, dance and fitness show Dance Your A** Off, will manage to match her success remains to be seen.

In her reality show, which launches on September 5 on cable channel Style, the cameras will follow the now Los Angeles-based star balance being a mother to Phoenix, 11 and three-year-old Angel, along with being a TV presenter, model, singer, die-hard gym bunny and wife to movie producer husband Stephen Belafonte.

Filming started last month and the show - taglined 'Chaos is the Spice of life' - Mel, full name Melanie Brown, previously said that the show will be 'crazier than the Osbournes.'

She added: 'I'm not exactly going to be Miss Goody Two Shoes and play it completely by the book. I'm going to be me. I like to wake up at 11pm and if I've got a song in my head, go to the studio and record it, then go back to bed, and then wake up the kids and take them to school. Victoria and Emma Got Flat Tyre on the Same Day

The former Spice Girls stars suffered the same woes on Sunday, August 22 as Adams' day was marred by a flat tyre when trying to have some fun in Malibu, while Bunton on her way to host.

Victoria Adams was the second Spice Girls to get that sinking feeling this weekend - a family day out to the beach was marred by a flat tyre. The former singer and her soccer star husband David Beckham took their three boys - 11-year-old Brooklyn, 7-year-old Romeo and 5-year-old Cruz - for some fun in the sand in Malibu, California on Sunday, August 22.

But their day out ended with a letdown - the front right tyre of the family's Land Rover suffered a puncture and the vehicle had to be towed away.

Beckham's former Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton suffered similar woes on the same day - she was held up on her way to host U.K. TV talent show "Don't Stop Believing" when her car got a flat tyre.

Emma's TV Career has Postponed Baby Plans

Emma Bunton says her new TV presenting career has postponed her plans to have another baby.

Bunton, 34, already has a three-year-old son Beau with partner Jade Jones but says she has loved her presenting role on Don't Stop Believing so much that she wants to continue with it.

Speaking to UK newspaper the Daily Star Sunday, she said: "I want to have another child, but I want to wait a year or two. Presenting has been so much fun, especially as it's a live show. I want to have one more child and then I'll stop - two will be enough, I think."

She added that her son is a natural performer and must take after his former Spice Girls star mum.

Bunton said: "He really loves music. He's a big fan of Beyonce and Justin Bieber."

Melanie B to Appear at Melbourne Cup

Melanie Brown is to be a special guest at this year's Melbourne Cup, it has been reported.

The former Spice Girl, who is currently filming Mel B: It's a Scary World, is believed to be visiting the Australian horse racing event in October in a bid to promote her Style Network reality television series.

Mel B has reportedly been approached by several fashion designers hoping to dress her before an appearance in the prestigious celebrity Birdcage.

One of the event's promoters told The Daily Telegraph that the singer could "make $100,000 (£57,300) for a 40 minute set" if she decides to sing at the event.

Former international guests at the racing carnival have included singer Liza Minnelli, TV star Bear Grylls and rapper Snoop Dogg.

As a millionaire former pop star and an aristocratic boyfriend on her arm, you'd think Geri Halliwell could afford a decent swimsuit. But as she relaxed on a boat off the coast of St Tropez yesterday, it appeared the 38-year-old was wearing a red bikini slightly too small for her ample cleavage.

As she boarded a speedboat to take her from her yacht to the beach, a paranoid Geri examined her cleavage to make sure everything was in place... just.

But despite looking in fantastic shape as she enjoyed her second trip to the French Riviera this year, it looked like the former Spice Girl may have been wearing a bikini bought during her skinnier days.

The result saw her expose her 'under cleavage', otherwise known as 'neathage'. Once on the beach, Geri and boyfriend Henry Beckwith, 31, showed their affection for each other as they frolicked in the waves and cuddled each other.

In the 16 months they've been together, Geri and Henry have enjoyed many holidays together with her daughter Bluebell, including several trips to the French Riviera, snowboarding in Courcheval, a Mediterranean cruise and a romantic holiday for two to the Italian island of Sardinia.

Fortunately this time round, there appeared to be no arguments for the couple, who were spotted exchanging harsh words in St Tropez last month.

Geri erupted in anger as she caught Henry giving another woman the eye as they walked back to their boat. She started shouting at him, waving her arms in the air and even pushing him away from her at one point. The drama attracted the attention of another man on the beach, who came over to see what was going on.

An onlooker told Mail Online: 'Geri was absolutely fuming. She was shouting at him and telling him what for. Clearly, she was not happy about his wandering eye.'

The couple have been dating since March 2009 - just 10 days after Halliwell ended her whirlwind engagement to Italian yacht owner Fabrizio Politti.

Prior to Beckwith, Geri's longest romance was six months with American dancer Ivan 'Flipz' Velez, who she met on the Spice Girls reunion tour. The pair enjoyed a transatlantic romance, visiting each other in Los Angeles and London.

Most people who go boating would choose a pair of trousers and flat shoes for both comfort and safety.

But Geri Halliwell decided to go against the grain in St Tropez, as she took a boat trip with boyfriend Henry Beckwith wearing a pair of impossibly high wedges and a tiny white minidress.

The 38-year-old star teetered along the dock as she attempted to navigate her way down a set of stairs and onto a dinghy to take her to her vessel.

Wearing an incredibly short one-shouldered dress over a red bikini, Geri looked very Grecian in her outfit as she spent time with her boyfriend in the sunshine. And it seems the couple are more than a bit enamoured with the picturesque town of St Tropez, having holidayed there last month.

But it wasn't all fun and games on their previous vacation, as the pair had a huge argument when Geri spotted Henry sneaking a peek at another bikini-clad woman as they walked along the beach.

However, it seems everything is back to normal as the pair, who are rumoured to be moving in to a $8million mansion in Wiltshire together, looked happy and in love on their sunshine break.

Geri Halliwell Enjoyed X Factor Boos

Geri Halliwell has claimed that she enjoyed being booed during her time as an X Factor guest judge.

Viewers saw the former Spice Girl join the panel for the Glasgow auditions of the talent show's seventh series in last night's opening episode, but were unaware that the singer incurred the wrath of audience members during her stint by refusing to put a popular act through to Boot Camp.

Recalling the incident to The Sun, Halliwell stressed: "I can't believe I am getting booed. I am the villain! It is addictive being booed. I am learning to like it. It is a really nice sensation. I am more unpopular than Simon Cowell. He is just a bit sore. Deep down he is annoyed I nicked his boos."

Halliwell also stated that she hoped to improve her relationship with fellow judge Louis Walsh, who has openly criticised her time on the show and was seen mocking her tendency to ramble in last night's premiere.

"In the past we have had a little bit of friction," she admitted. "But I think our relationship has turned a corner. I hope we can have some real fun."

Future editions of the show will see Natalie Imbruglia, Katy Perry, Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger fill Dannii Minogue's judge's seat during her maternity leave.

The X Factor continues next Saturday at 7.30pm on ITV1.

The Beckhams Sunbathing in Santa Monica

They famously bared nearly all when they posed together in an advert for Emporio Armani underwear.

And now, over a year since the sexy photograph was revealed, David and Victoria Beckham have stripped once again, showing off their toned bodies on holiday in Santa Monica.

While Victoria, 36, opted to wear a black polka dot bikini in order to make the most of the sunshine, David chose a pair of low slung denim shorts, and a backwards baseball cap. The pair, who are currently splitting their time between London and Los Angeles, looked happy and relaxed as they spent some quality time together with a group of friends.

David and Victoria's sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz also joined them, although they spent the majority of the day riding their bikes along Santa Monica beach while their famous parents watched from the balcony.

Later, Victoria went down to the beach to ensure all her boys were wearing their correct bicycle safety equipment before they sped off once again.

The couple are clearly making the most of their precious time together, as work commitments often see them spending a lot of time apart. But the pair showed that absence most definitely make the heart grow fonder as they laughed together and enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony.

And despite being married for over a decade, the couple, who together are worth an estimated £125million, appear to be happier and more in love than ever.

Speaking in an interview recently, Victoria said: 'I look at David and I think, He’s so handsome and I’m so lucky to have him as a husband. And he’s an amazing father. I don’t blame people for looking at him and finding him attractive. I mean, I do.'

The pair are currently in Los Angeles ahead of David's rumoured return to football team LA Galaxy next month following an achilles injury.

In addition, he and Victoria are said to be furious after finding out that England coach Fabio Capello does not want him to return to play for the national team.

But the couple showed no sign of any stress after reports that they had decided to get rid of 14 members of their staff, including six gardeners at their home in the south of France, a cleaner at Beckingham Palace in Hertfordshire, and at least one chauffeur, in an 'economy drive'.

Geri Halliwell has admitted that she is "proud" of Cheryl Cole. The former Spice Girl was a judge on Popstars: The Rivals, which catapulted Cole and her Girls Aloud bandmates to fame in 2002.

Halliwell recently sat alongside Cole on the The X Factor panel at auditions, filling in for an absent Dannii Minogue.

"I have history with all three judges," she told The Sun. "I'm really proud of Cheryl and thrilled with her success."

The 38-year-old, who was reportedly booed during her appearance at the auditions, admitted that she was less sure of her relationship with Simon Cowell.

"I still can't decide whether I want to slap him or kiss him," she confessed.

Justin Bieber has offered David Beckham and his kids their very own private concert in return for some football lessons.

David Beckham's sons are apparently big Justin Bieber fans (we're basing that on what Justin said), and has has offered Becks the private concert - but only in return from some lessons in the art of football.

Justin said: "I am sure he would do anything to make his three boys happy and if I am their favourite artist I would happily come and put on a private show at the Beckham household.All I would ask for in return is that we go into his yard for an hour afterwards and he teaches me all those crazy things he can do with a soccer ball."

Becks isn't the only celeb Justin wants a hand from. He recently said he wanted relationship advice from Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry.

The Beckhams Advised to Cut Staffs

David and Victoria have reportedly sacked a third of their staff, after an accountant warned them that they were wasting money.

The Sun reports that the couple were reluctant to let the 14 of around 50 staff they employ worldwide go. Victoria called in the expert when she feared that they were spending too much when others were struggling because of the economy.

A friend told the paper: "This very no-nonsense accountant gave it to Vic straight and said, 'You CAN afford to employ all of these people. But why the hell DO you?'."

The couple were told that they did not need to keep so many staff at their homes in England, LA, Dubai and France.

The friend added: "Once the accountant pointed out that level of staffing was not required Vic pushed the button. There has been a large downsize. David and Victoria are multi-millionaires but that doesn't mean they have to waste money - and they were hemorrhaging it."

The paper claims that a cleaner who worked for the couple at their 'Beckingham Palace' for eight years was replaced by two "cost efficient" foreign staff. It also suggests that their chief gardener will double up as a chauffeur - driving the pair to their airport.

So this summer the weather is slightly schizophrenic, it’s having slightly erratic mood swings wouldn’t you say? Us Brits love to obsess about the weather!

Anyway I got a wig wam tent for birthday which is sooo cool but I didn’t put it up properly so it leaked!

What I am really coming on here to tell you is that I’m appearing on the X Factor this Saturday on ITV1. What can I tell you? Well, I’m not sure whether I want to smack or kiss Cowell – you decide…it’s all in the edit. As for the kind of judge I am, I’m not sure how I came across, I made the commitment to myself to be as honest as possible, I hope I didn’t hurt any ones feelings but I didn’t want to be a phoney.

Anyway we shall see, you can decide for yourselves. I’m really interested to see if anyone I put through makes it all the way. There was this 16 old girl from Scotland, she was pretty cool so we’ll have to watch this space!

Emma Bunton's Don't Stop Believing hit the right note with viewers on Sunday night by beating Sky1’s rival new music show in the ratings.

The Channel Five series, fronted by Emma Bunton, 34, grabbed 1.2million viewers. Must Be The Music, Sky’s X Factor-style talent show with Fearne Cotton, 28, got just under 500,000.

The grand final of Don’t Stop Believing will air next Sunday, featuring True DynaMix, Dale Diva, Singer Station, The Songtimers, Swish and Three Spires.

Melanie B is the New Face of Bravada

Mel B, pictured below with Bravada CEO Danny Alex, is the creative director of Bravada. She will also be the face of a new campaign from Bravada, a women's activewear brand. Bravada has released new women's yoga, fitness, gym and casual apparel colors and designs. Some of the new colors include a blend of purple, peach, orange and pink as well as traditional colors such as black, gray and white.

David's Sister Sobs as Alcoholic Lover is Jailed

David Beckham's sister sobbed yesterday as her lover was jailed for bombarding his ex-girlfriend with 'vile' abuse.

Lynne Beckham, 38, gasped and held her hand over her mouth as 'chronic alcoholic' Kevin Briggs, who has 18 previous convictions, was taken down to the cells. He had breached a restraining order by repeatedly making aggressive calls to charity worker Lisa Gilbey, the mother of his teenage son, days after getting out of jail for a similar offence.

Briggs, 37, had been repeatedly confrontational during their 13-year relationship, Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London heard. The couple broke up three years ago after Briggs tried to throttle Miss Gilbey because she refused to make him a sandwich, for which he was convicted of assault.

Last summer he was jailed for six months for breaching a restraining order over Miss Gilbey. Four days after his release, on January 22 this year, Briggs made the first of his calls to his ex-partner which left her 'anxious and distressed,' prosecutor Martin Whitehouse said.

However, the court was told, since his latest arrest Briggs has started to turn his life around, in large part because of the 'positive' influence of Miss Beckham.

Tara McCarthy, for Briggs, said the footballer's sister had helped him give up drink and had supported him in his battle with depression, Briggs has moved into Miss Beckham's £250,000 four-bed-room home in Romford, Essex, which the former England captain bought for her 12 years ago.

Miss McCarthy said: 'He has moved forward with a new relationship. They want to continue forward despite this.'

But sentencing Briggs to five months in jail, Judge Tudor Owen told him: 'I am far from satisfied that you genuinely want to change your ways. You made contact with your former partner by telephone and called her vile names in an aggressive manner which not surprisingly caused her distress. You called four days after serving a sentence for breaking the very same order.'

Briggs is an unemployed landscape gardener and lives on benefits with Miss Beckham, who has three children from her relationship with estranged husband Colin Every.

Beckham, 35, who has an estimated fortune of £125million, has always helped provide for his sister.

However, Miss Beckham is reported to be to be in such dire financial straits that she claiming £164 a week in handouts. Relations between Beckham and his jobless sister have been strained because of the footballer's disapproval of her estranged husband, Colin Every.

The couple married in 1999 and al though Beckham attended the ceremony, his wife Victoria refused to go. Miss Beckham and Every, 42, are now in the midst of a bitter divorce.

Victoria Beckham Wants Vogue Magazine Cover

Victoria Beckham has reportedly revealed hopes of featuring on the cover of American Vogue.

The 36-year-old has appeared on multiple international versions of the fashion magazine but is said to have "dreamed" about securing the US edition since she was a child.

"Victoria's currently on the cover of Turkish Vogue. It's her fifth cover for international editions, but there's still no offer from US Vogue," a source told Now.

"She's dreamed of being on that cover since she was little."

The insider added: "Right now she's on an all-out charm offensive and has been sending [editor] Anna [Wintour] flowers and notes for the past few weeks to get noticed."

Beckham's rep recently denied reports that she was expecting her fourth child.

Eva Wants Her Marriage to be Just Like Mrs. Beckham's

She plays a man-eating vixen on screen. And off it Eva Longoria Parker loves to play up to her sassy Desperate Housewives image. But other than a penchant for muscular playboys - and her accidental groping of co-star Teri Hatcher's breast when she tripped during filming this week - in real life Eva couldn't be further removed from her feisty TV alter ego.

The petite actress has been married to French basketball star Tony Parker for three years. And they are still hopelessly devoted to one another.

"I love being married to Tony," she gushes. "He and I get through things with a lot of laughter and a lot of the same goals and values in life - and it doesn't hurt that he's also the cliché of tall, dark and handsome. I think I'll keep him."

Eva is surprisingly grounded for a Hollywood A-lister. We meet in a five-star Beverly Hills hotel but afterwards she is heading straight to the supermarket for eggs and potatoes.

"Tony's coming home tonight after a fortnight working in Paris," she says. "And he wants my tortilla soup, so I guess he's been missing those Mexican spices."

Tony, at 28 seven years Eva's junior, shuttles back and forth between the US and France, where he plays for the national team.

He is away for weeks at a time. "I just try to do the best I can to fly to meet him wherever he is," Eva says. "We never go longer than two weeks without seeing each other. I once flew to Switzerland just to have dinner with him."

But doesn't she worry about other women when her husband is away? "We've just never discussed it,' she says matter-of-factly. "It's just been understood from the beginning that we trust each other.

"What can I say ? Infidelity sucks! At least, I suppose it does, as I've been lucky enough never to have experienced it."

She also relies on best pal Victoria Beckham for advice. "Victoria's a lovely woman," she says. "Both our husbands are sports stars and they both travel , and Victoria's had some great advice for me on how to cope with that.

"She's a great mother, too. If you ever see her around her kids, you'll see that everything - everything - is about them and David. She's a good role model. I really want my marriage to be like hers."

Unlike the Beckhams, the couple do not have children. But Eva is hopeful. "I know I'm not getting any younger but Tony's still young," she says. "But we want to wait until the time's right."

Eva is nothing if not busy. She's studying for a master's degree in political science and owns Tex-Mex restaurants in LA and Las Vegas. "I take cooking very seriously and I'm a businesswoman as well, so it's a merging of both of my passions," she says.

"I'm at the restaurant in LA all the time. I'll go up to different tables and taste their food. People are always saying, 'Can you please not eat my soup'?" And Desperate Housewives still pulls in 120million viewers worldwide. The seventh series starts here next month.

"I love the show," she says. "It's got everything - my gosh, marriage, divorce, kids, dating, being single, being not-single, friendship, age, womanhood - all the things we women talk about."

David Beckham was said to be 'baffled and upset' yesterday after it emerged that his oldest sister is claiming state benefits.

The footballer, 35, who has an estimated fortune of £125million, has always helped provide for Lynne, 38. However, Miss Beckham is said to be in such dire financial straits that she is claiming £164 a week in handouts. She gets £68 a week in income support alongside £96 weekly tax credits.

In addition, the mother of three has a new live-in boyfriend - a man with a criminal record for violence.

A source close to the star said: 'David had no idea Lynne was on benefits. He bought her the house she lives in. He has always provided for her and her children. He has given her money and anything she needs, so he is clearly baffled and really quite upset.'

Relations between Beckham and his jobless sister have been strained over the years because of the footballer's disapproval of her estranged husband.

In 1998, feelings between the siblings chilled after her partner Colin Every was revealed to be selling cocaine from their home.

The couple married in 1999 and although Beckham attended the ceremony, his wife Victoria refused to go. Miss Beckham and Every, 42, are now in the midst of a bitter divorce.

Despite family rifts, the LA Galaxy player has always been financially generous towards his family.

Beckham bought his sister her £250,000 four-bedroom home in Romford, Essex, 12 years ago. She lives there with her children Georgina, 12, Freddie, ten, and Josh, five, from her relationship with Every.

A source said Miss Beckham had already moved new boyfriend Kevin Briggs into her home - despite meeting him on Facebook only a few weeks ago.

Beckham, however, is said to be unaware of the brutal background of his sister's new man. He met Briggs when he and Victoria invited their family to a Whitney Houston concert in London last month.

Yesterday Briggs's ex-girlfriend, charity worker Lisa Gilbey, claimed that he was a violent alcoholic who had been jailed for eight months for beating her up. He faces prison again on Thursday for breaking a restraining order she had placed on him.

Miss Gilbey, who has a young son with Briggs, said: 'I know David is close to his sister, but I don't think he realises what sort of a man she has got herself involved with. He is a nasty bit of work. When he is sober, he is fine, but when he has been drinking he turns into someone I don't recognise.'

Miss Gilbey said she finally left Briggs when he tried to throttle her after she refused to make him a sandwich. Briggs was jailed for common assault.

Beckham remains close to his younger sister, Joanne, 28, a part time hairdresser.

He also bought her a home, a £500,000 townhouse in Essex. The footballer once said: 'The only thing my Dad said to me was "look after your two sisters", and I always will.'

The revelations of his sister's financial problems mark the end of a bad week for Beckham. He was left shocked by Fabio Capello's announcement that his England career was over, without being told first.

A spokesman for Beckham last night refused to comment, while Miss Beckham said: 'I have nothing to say.'

Another Family Outing For The Beckhams

After a family dinner on Friday night, the Beckham boys appeared to be testing the patience of their usually calm and collected mother. But it was a different story as the family went to see middle son Romeo play basketball on Saturday, suggesting that Victoria gave them a stern talking before they left the house.

The night before the 36-year-old looked to be at her wits' end as she attempted to control her wayward brood, who were uncharacteristically disobedient as they left a Japanese grill in Beverly Hills.

But the family, minus David- who was playing with the L.A. Galaxy in New Jersey- looked back to their picture perfect ways as they strolled through a park with their bulldog Coco and some friends.

Perhaps Victoria, who was dressed down in ripped jeans, black singlet and sunglasses from her own range, is still put out by her sons' naughty behaviour, as she was seen sucking on her thumb sulkily.

Grilled recently on the rumours that she and David are trying for baby number four, she said: 'Everybody keeps asking me, but three boys? That's a lot!'

Despite Victoria playing down her hopes for more children, pal Eva Longoria Parker told The Mirror this week that she admires the star's love for her family: 'She's a great mother,' the actress said. If you ever see her around her kids, you'll see that everything - everything - is about them and David.'

Victoria Beckham has conveyed her 'disgust' at the way her husband David was cruelly dropped from the England squad by Fabio Capello.

The former Spice Girl, 36, let her feelings be known as she rallied in support of her husband of ten years.

After seeing the interview for himself at his home in Los Angelese Beckham, 35, was said to be 'horrified' and wife Victoria 'disgusted' at the cavalier fashion in which Capello proclaimed the England veteran's career over.

A source said: 'It could have been handled better. Getting a lackey to do it who actually didn't say what the content of the interview was - it's crass and disrespectful.'

The superstar England player learned this week that he is unlikely to feature in national team manager Fabio Capello's future plans, but has vowed to fight on. And he has no plans to go quietly, the LA Galaxy star will refuse Capello's offer of a farewell friendly match to say goodbye to fans, it was revealed today.

Speaking after England's 2-1 friendly win against Hungary, Capello said: 'David knows he has no future with the national team because we have to change. He will play one friendly to say bye bye.'

However, the offer of a glorious farewell by Capello has left Beckham, who has been capped 115 times in 14 years, unhappy. A source close to the footballing superstar told the Sun: 'This has fired him up to get back to fitness and battle his way back into the squad.'

After a training session at his club LA Galaxy where he is making a comeback from the achilles injury which kept him out of the World Cup, Beckham told reporters he was still available for selection.

He said: 'I've always said I won't retire from playing for my country. Whether I play one more game or ten more games, I'll be available. Some people say, at my age, you start not loving football as much as when you were 21, but I still do.’

Victoria Beckham's representatives have reportedly denied rumours that she is pregnant.

An Australian glossy weekly had suggested that the ex-Spice Girl was expecting a fourth child with footballer husband David. "Posh and Becks are expanding their family," the report in Famous claimed.

"Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz will have either a brother or sister, Posh must be wishing for a little girl by now! It's a new beginning for the couple."

However, Victoria's publicist told Metro: ‘No, it's nonsense. It's just magazine copy. It's not true."

Last month, representatives for the Beckhams denied widespread internet rumours that the couple were poised to split.

Former Baby Spice, 34, is filling in for Lorraine Kelly on GMTV and has been a hit with viewers.

Now the ambitious mum-of-one is in talks with ITV1 for her own slot on their much-hyped new breakfast show, Daybreak.

We're told: "A viewers' poll showed Emma is coming across really well on GMTV. The line-up at Daybreak has yet to be finalised and she's been shortlisted. She knows Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles and would fit in really well."

Geri Halliwell is Planning New Spice Girls

Geri Halliwell is reportedly forming a new version of the Spice Girls.

Ginger Spice, who was a judge on Popstars: The Rivals, wants to recreate the energy of the original band with a new line-up, according to the News of the World. Several record labels are said to be interested in the project.

A source said: "This is very exciting for her. She's been painstakingly putting together the new band. She wants to combine the energy and drive of the Spice Girls. She's been keeping it quiet because she doesn't want to jinx anything but she has told the other girls and they are very supportive. "

"Geri has already introduced the band to some key music executives and quite a few of the labels have already taken a keen interest. She believes the time is right for another girl band to take over the world. When Geri puts her mind to something it's hard to stop her. She could be a very successful manager."

Cruise Denies Beckham 'Mission Imposible' Casting

Tom Cruise has dismissed a report claiming that he wants David Beckham to appear in Mission: Impossible IV.

It was earlier reported that Cruise suggested Beckham for a pivotal cameo role in the upcoming action sequel. A source claimed that the actor wanted to cash in on Beckham's "huge following" to boost the movie's box office.

However, a representative for Cruise has now denied the speculation. The rep told Gossip Cop that there are no plans for the footballer to appear in Mission: Impossible IV. "This is blown out of proportion," said the spokesperson.

Explaining the situation further, they continued: "He (Cruise) was asked a simple question on [a press] tour about if he thinks David would be a good actor and he said yes… then it ran into the ether in a crazy way that doesn’t [represent] what he said."
