Piers Morgan has claimed that working as a TV talent show judge is harder than it looks.
The Britain's Got Talent star spoke out following reports that Geri Halliwell was booed when appearing as a guest panellist at the X Factor auditions earlier this month.
Reflecting on the former Spice Girl's judging setback, Morgan told New magazine: "I haven't seen her in action but I interviewed her on my Life Stories show and quite liked her. I'm very interested to see all the guest judges and see what they're like. It's actually not as easy as people think."
He added: "Everyone assumes it's really easy to be instantly hilarious on the spur of the moment in front of a huge audience, but when you're seeing hundreds of acts, it's hard."
Morgan has been a judge on Britain's Got Talent since its launch in 2007 and also works on the show's American counterpart.
