Emma Bunton has been spicing up the ratings for Five. Her new Glee-inspired talent show Don’t Stop Believing, which aims to find Britain’s best song and dance act, grabbed almost two million viewers.
And the show is about to get even hotter. We can reveal that one of the groups batting for a place in the final of the series is a bunch of sexy cheerleaders. Blok are the official mascots of Glasgow football giants Rangers.
Last night Baby Spice, 34, said: “I did say it was gonna be huge. It’s the most spectacular show I’ve ever been involved in.”
And Five controller Richard Woolfe, 47, added: “The ratings prove Don’t Stop Believing has struck an immediate chord.”
Emma and the other judges, who include Duncan James, 32, could also end up making a dream come true for wannabe Nicola Ward.
Don’t Stop Believing, which goes out on Sundays at 7pm, is open to groups only. But bosses invited solo singers to audition and the best will form a supergroup.
And Nicola, 27, has made it into that gang. She reached the final of Popstars The Rivals in 2002 but had to drop out because of pressure from her boyfriend.
Nicola said: “It is about time I started to prove what I can do.”
