Geri Halliwell has revealed that she backs the public's decision to axe John Adeleye from The X Factor.
The 29-year-old became the fifth act voted off the show earlier this evening, after ending up in the bottom two with Treyc Cohen.
Speaking about his exit on The Xtra Factor, the Spice Girls singer said: "Part of being a popstar is having it all. Being a fantastic singer, being a great performer, but you've also got to have that something extra. I loved John's song 'Zoom', but I forgot him instantly afterwards. Among all those other people I just forgot him."
Halliwell, who was a guest judge at the auditions, said that she had been most impressed by Katie Waissel so far in the live shows.
"I love Katie, I love her tone and that will sound great on record," she said. "And I think little girls will like her as well as boys. You have to think who will buy the records."
