Melanie Brown at Chelsea Lately

Mel B has finally addressed the rumours that her marriage is in trouble. The former Spice Girl went on late night U.S. talk show, Chelsea Lately last night and insisted that she is not getting a divorce... yet.

Brown was on the show to promote her new reality TV show, It's a Scary World, which debuts this week on the Style Channel.

The 35-year-old, who wore a tight fitting blue dress and towering heels for her appearance on the show, laughed when asked about her alleged marriage woes.

She said: 'Somebody said that we were getting divorced.... No! Not yet, anyway.'

Talk show host Chelsea Handler told her: 'I've met him a couple of times... Super creepy.'

Laughing, Brown said: 'Yeah, he can be a little bit crazy and freaky but we match each other.'

Brown's husband, movie producer, Stephen Belafonte is alleged to have called a journalist at the Sunday Mirror last week to personally tell him their relationship was over and that Mel would be returning to Britain without him.

The newspaper reported that Belafonte told them he has consulted lawyers in Los Angeles to finalize a separation. A friend of Brown reportedly told the Sunday Mirror: 'They've not been happy for a long time and there's been rowing.

'Mel's been talking about getting out. They're still talking to see if things can be worked out. But she's making plans to come back to the U.K. on a more permanent basis. Stephen hasn't been mentioned as joining her and has been consulting lawyers.'

As for the reason behind the alleged split?

The friend claims: 'Part of the problem is jealousy. They are both livid when the other one gets attention for another person. They constantly want to know where the other one is... it's been an ongoing problem right from the start."'

Before the interview last night, viewers saw a brief clip from the new show, set to debut on the Style Network on Sunday night.

In it, the pair are sitting together on a sofa as they explain how they got together.

Belafonte, also 35, said: 'It was like I walked into this vineyard and there were all these grapes, and I was like, 'Pluck', I found my one grape out of all these grapes.'

Interrupting, she said: 'He's got problems.' He continued: 'Well, it was sort of like that.Anyway, the point is that we plucked each other.'

Brown could also be seen berating him for looking in the fridge. She also told how she has become 'obsessed' with social networking website, Twitter.

She said: 'I started like 10 days ago and I'm actually obsessed. I can't stop it.'

After her appearance a trailer was shown for the new programme, in which she and Belafonte were shown playing happy families. Brown's show will chronicle her every day life as she juggles her career with family life.

The show will also feature Belafonte and Brown's two children from previous relationships, 3-year-old Angel and Phoenix, 11.

Style network president Salaam Coleman Smith says of the show: 'Style is all about transformations and we love that Mel has evolved her image and sought new challenges throughout her career while also taking on the ups, downs and everything in between that come with motherhood and marriage. With her infectious humour and signature "Girl Power" style, Mel is an outstanding addition to our network and we're thrilled to have her as a new face of Style.'

Brown's career in the U.S. has been taking off as of late. She participated in the 2007 season of Dancing With The Stars, pairing up with Maksim Chermerskiy and finishing in second place.

The following year she hosted the Singing Office reality series with former boy band member Joey Fatone.

Most recently Brown has been hosting the dance competition show, Dance Your Ass Off. Brown and Belafonte quietly married in Las Vegas in June 2007. They renewed their vows in a marriage ceremony in Egypt in November 2008.
